Try The Green Light/ Red Light Game!

This positive-reinforcement game will take a bit of patience on your part. But totally worth it at the end! How does it work? When your dog goes ahead of you on a walk, just stop the walk and wait (that's a red light!). When he has stopped pulling and re-focused on you, start walking again (that's the green light!). Of course, this will take a few times around the block for your dog to get used to. Finally, he'll understand that he needs to stay by your side. Mission Accomplished!

Don't Stop Them From Sniffing Around!

Sniffing is an incredibly importantpart of being a dog. It is the most heightened sense that your dog has. And it's not fair to deprive him of his way of absorbing his surroundings. Often times, dog parents try to stop their dog from sniffing and walk in a hurry. Unfortunately, they're setting themselves up for failure!

Your dog is inevitably going to want to sniff around as you walk him. And there's no way to stop that process without being harsh. That doesn’t mean, however, that your dog has the leverage to just drag you around and sniff every exciting smell. What you can do is have your dog earn sniff breaks by responding to a command like come or sit. When your dog follows your command successfully, give him a cue like, go sniff! and allow him to get his nose on the ground.

Our Goal is to provide you and your furry friend a holistic life experience. Sometime's that means the human needs to learn too!

Keep Your Dog's Attention On Yourself.

When dogs are out on a walk, it's mighty easy for them to get distracted. When you notice your dog focused on something other than you, take charge of the situation by varying your route or mildly changing the direction you're walking in. This way, your dog remains focused on your movement and doesn't get carried away into his own world.

Keep Your Dog's Attention On Yourself.

Dealing with a hyperactive dog can make walks extremely difficult. If you're unable to find a way to train your dog to stop pulling on the leash, hire a competent Certified Dog Traineror Behavior Consultant. They can help you identify exactly why your dog is behaving the way they are, and offer a solution that controls your dog's reaction.

Use A High Quality Leash!

It's essential that you use a high quality leash that is easily washed, kind to the hands, and to your pet! Many low quality leashes are just meant to save on material and cost. The rings and clips rust, and the leads fray. The right choice of leash is crucial to make sure your pet gets to walk without any issues.
